2019 Science Delivered! : STEM Trading Cards

STEM Trading Cards Series 1 were released in October 2019 by Science Delivered! The 25-card educational collection was designed for K–5 students. The "STEMist" cards showcase a diverse array of professionals in science, technology, engineering, and math. Series 2 was released in October 2020. Women-in-STEM If/Then cards were released in May 2021. The "STEMist" project was crowdfunded online via Kickstarter.

Series 1 features Dr. Bernard A. Harris, Jr., the first African-American to perform a spacewalk. Dr. Harris was selected for NASA Astronaut Group 13 in 1990. Harris was a Mission Specialist on Space Shuttle Columbia mission STS-55 and Payload Commander of Space Shuttle Discovery mission STS-63. On February 9, 1995, Harris performed a 4 hour, 39 minute EVA while anchored to the Canadarm. Bernard Harris has logged 198 hours and 29 minutes in space and has orbited the Earth 129 times. NASA

Dr. Stephen Hawking began work on the characteristics of black holes in 1970. Dr. Hawking hypothesized that the gravitational pull of a black hole emits massless photons and gravitons. Today, the theoretical phenomena is known as "Hawking radiation."
