1998 USPS : Space Discovery Stampers Saver Cards
Space Discovery Stampers Saver Cards were issued by the United States
Postal Service (USPS) on October 1, 1998, in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
The five-card collection was sold exclusively at participating USPS Post
Offices.
The collection was bundled with five 32-cent Space Discovery stamps (Scott #3238–3242). The Space Discovery stamp series was illustrated by Attila Hejja. The card series was designed by Phil Jordan.
Each card pack includes a Space Discovery title card. The card features
an uncredited photograph of astronaut Bruce McCandless from Space Shuttle
Challenger mission STS 41-B. McCandless performed the first untethered EVA on February 7, 1984. The
mission tested the nitrogen propulsion thrusters of the Manned Maneuvering
Unit (MMU).
"Looking for Aliens" includes images of Saturn and Dione captured by Voyager 1 in November 1980.

"Space Today" is a photograph of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite stack from Space Shuttle Discovery mission STS-29. The photograph was taken after the deployment of TDRS-4 on March 13, 1989. The Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TRDSS) is a ground and space communication network operated by NASA.
