State. The collection includes a photograph from the 2008 Ohio Astronaut
Reunion and a crew photo of Space Shuttle Discovery STS-70, the
"All-Ohio Crew."
Ohio Astronaut Trading Cards are distributed by astronaut Donald A. Thomas, Ph.D. The collection is available to purchase on the Ohio Astronaut website . Don Thomas was selected for NASA Astronaut Group 13, the "Hairballs," announced on January 17, 1990. Thomas has logged 44 days in Earth orbit as a Mission Specialist on four Space Shuttle missions: STS-65, STS-70, STS-83, STS-94. Thomas is featured on trading cards in the United Space Alliance Space Shuttle Mission Cards sets for Columbia STS-83 and the reflight mission STS-94.

There are 25 NASA astronauts that were born in Ohio . On January 24, 2024, artist Bill Hinsch unveiled Ohioans in Space, a 9 x 12 feet oil painting for the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda in Columbus. The artwork depicts astronauts John Glenn, Neil Armstrong, Jim Lovell, and Judith Resnik. Also pictured is Chief Flight Director Gene Kranz, who helped to unveil the painting with members of the Armstrong, Lovell, and Resnick families. Ohio astronauts Don Thomas, Michael Good, and Carl Walz attended the ceremony.
